Why the Seven Thunders in Revelation Remain Unlisted
The Bible mentions seven thunders heard by John, but it never records their content. When John prepared to write their words, a heavenly voice commanded him to “seal up those things…and write them not” (Revelation 10:3–4). These thunders tie into the completion of God’s mystery in the days of the seventh angel (Revelation 10:7). Like the sealed prophecies in Daniel, they were “shut up…and sealed till the time of the end” (Daniel 12:4). Though God reveals secrets to His servants (Amos 3:7), He intentionally withheld the exact utterances of the seven thunders. Any attempt to list them numerically remains speculative, as the true words are reserved for divine revelation beyond the biblical text.
