Trump Announces Ceasefire Between Israel and Hezbollah as Iran Talks Accelerate

US President Donald Trump said Israel and Hezbollah have agreed to halt fighting while negotiations with Iran are moving ahead at a rapid pace. Trump tweeted that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu assured him no Israeli troops will enter Beirut’s southern suburbs and that Hezbollah representatives agreed to stop all attacks. His remarks came after Iran’s state news agency reported a pause in dialogue over Israel’s military actions in Lebanon.
