Chelsea have confirmed that Clearlake Capital will take full ownership of the club after agreeing to buy the minority stakes held by Todd Boehly, Mark Walter and Hansjörg Wyss. The deal ends Boehly's time as Chelsea chairman and public face of the ownership group. Clearlake, previously the club's majority shareholder, said the change will not affect day-to-day operations or the existing leadership structure. Boehly helped lead the 2022 takeover of Chelsea and oversaw major investment in the men's, women's and academy teams. He said he was proud of the work done during his tenure and expressed confidence in the club's future under Clearlake.
