UNIZIK Alumni Launches Converge 2.0 Planning Committee
The Nnamdi Azikiwe University Alumni Association (NAUAA) Global has inaugurated the Converge 2.0 Committee to prepare for the second edition of its flagship event. On 14 March 2026, the Vice-Chancellor of UNIZIK, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, officiated the inauguration at the university’s Council Chambers. The 31-member committee is chaired by Prof. Evaristus Afiadigwe, with Comrade Obi Okeke as co-chair and Dr. Kobimdi Umeh serving as secretary. Members will begin planning immediately for the June 2026 Alumni Converge. Prof. Anyaehie praised the alumni network for supporting institutional growth and pledged full administrative backing for Converge 2.0. NAUAA Global President, Prof. Ikechukwu Umeh, highlighted the role of alumni communities in mentorship, networking, and resource mobilization. The event’s main goal is to fund and complete the new NAUAA Centre, a permanent hub for alumni activities. Committee members were urged to work with transparency, creativity, and accountability. The inauguration concluded with the formation of sub-committees and a group photo session.
