All 136 Nigerian Prisoners Freed by Ethiopia Bear Igbo Names

A recent announcement from the Ethiopian government names 136 Nigerians released from detention. From the first to the last, every individual listed has an Igbo name. This pattern is hard to ignore. There are no Yoruba or Hausa names on the list. When will Igbo leaders confront the perception that their people dominate international crime statistics? Or will they continue to point to marginalisation while sons and daughters fill foreign prisons?

Why would Ethiopia's list include only Nigerian detainees with Igbo names, while no Yoruba or Hausa names appear at all?

Haha you're right, it's curious only Igbo names show up, while Yoruba and Hausa detainees seem absent.

Focusing on Igbo names alone seems odd given Nigeria's diverse ethnic groups. Something here doesn't add up regarding selection criteria.

Leaders should ask for full transparency on selection guidelines, ensuring any future prisoner releases reflect all Nigerian communities fairly.
