How Can an Experienced Accountant Enter Nigeria’s Oil and Gas Industry?

I am an experienced accountant looking to move into Nigeria’s oil and gas industry. I have applied for graduate trainee opportunities, but I am no longer a graduate trainee and have not been successful with the roles I have tried. I would like advice from people already in the sector. How do experienced professionals get in, including through contract or operations roles? It seems easier for engineers and field workers to find opportunities than for accountants and other operations professionals. Please share practical tips, relevant skills or entry routes that could help.
