Super Eagles winger Nathan Tella scored his first goal of the season as Bayer Leverkusen defeated Wehen Wiesbaden 4-0 in the DFB-Pokal. Tella came on in the 65th minute and struck four minutes later to make it 3-0. Patrik Schick had opened the scoring before Lucas Vázquez added a second shortly after the break. Christian Kofane completed the scoring in the 79th minute as Leverkusen advanced to the next round. Victor Boniface was an unused substitute for the visitors.
