3SC Part Ways With Coach Nurudeen Aweroro After 3-0 Loss to Ikorodu City
Shooting Stars (3SC) have ended the contracts of head coach Nurudeen Aweroro, team manager Tammy Tamuno and assistant coach Shakiru Lawal. The club said the decision followed a mutual agreement with the technical crew. The move comes after 3SC lost 3-0 to Ikorodu City, Aweroro’s former club, in a pre-season friendly. It also comes as the Ibadan side prepare to face Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round. Aweroro spent 280 days in charge and led 3SC to a third-place NPFL finish, securing the club a return to continental football. His record was 18 wins, six draws and 14 defeats in 38 matches, earning 60 points.
