My Experience at Port Harcourt’s 2026 Bole Festival
I attended the final day of the 2026 Bole Festival at Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt, and it was a memorable celebration of food, music and Rivers culture. The “A Decade of Fire” theme marked 10 years of the festival. The venue was filled with cultural displays, live performances, dancing, traditional outfits and plenty of bole. I especially enjoyed seeing people gather around the stage, sing along to performances and take photos with friends. The festival showed how bole remains an important part of Rivers State’s food culture while bringing people together through entertainment. I captured some of my favourite moments in a video. Have you attended the Bole Festival before, and would you like to experience it someday?
