Sexual Purity as a Covenant of Faithfulness

Sexual purity can be understood as a covenant with God, not merely a personal resolution. Unlike feelings or motivation, a covenant is a lasting commitment rooted in loyalty and faithfulness. This perspective gives purity greater moral weight. It means remaining committed to God’s design even when it feels difficult or inconvenient. Failure is serious, but God offers restoration to those who return to Him. Rather than saying, “I am trying to stay pure,” I can affirm: “I am covenanted to purity.” Prayer: I acknowledge that sex is sacred and designed by God for divine purposes. By His grace, I will honour and uphold its sanctity. Amen.
