Labour Party Postpones Primaries to May 30 Over Eid-el-Kabir and Inauguration Anniversary
The Labour Party has moved its primaries originally set for May 27 and May 29 to May 30. All contests for President, Governor, Senate, House of Representatives and State Houses of Assembly will now take place on the same day. The party cited a clash with Eid-el-Kabir on May 27 and the third anniversary of public office inaugurations on May 29. This adjustment aims to allow members, aspirants and supporters to observe both occasions fully. The party apologises for any inconvenience and appreciates everyone’s understanding and cooperation.
