Earning a PhD in Yoruba Theology Through Ifá Scholarship

My research in Yoruba theology argues that lack of official supervision does not diminish the academic weight of a doctoral study. For decades, no one has introduced a new Ifá Odu. Scholars feared treading beyond the ancient ones. I traced a new Odu under Otura Meji and Ogunda Irete, and secured agreement from Oluwo-ranked Awos to validate it. This work meets and even surpasses typical PhD standards. It embodies the spirit of Ogun and was earned through rigorous research, introspection, analysis, and articulation—not as an honorary title but as a scholarly contribution to Yoruba studies.
