I Gave My All at Work but Got Ghosted When I Needed Help
I once worked for someone who expected me to be available at all times. I helped with errands, sent data to her family and handled tasks without cheating or asking for much in return. She also discouraged me from working for other page owners. When my phone became too slow for the work and I asked for help getting a replacement, she stopped responding. She only reached out when she needed me to confirm payments, run errands or assist with travel plans. I made difficult trips across Lagos for her, sometimes without transport money, only to be ignored again. Later, when I asked for support to start a small crayfish business and gradually repay my debts, she agreed but never followed through. I have decided to stop expecting help from her and focus on building my own new chapter.
