Colombia’s Loboa Celebrates Late Winner That Ended Falconets’ World Cup Run

Colombia forward Valerin Loboa has praised her team’s belief after scoring a 92nd-minute winner against Nigeria’s Falconets at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. Nigeria defended resolutely despite Kafayat Mafisere’s red card in the 77th minute. The Falconets still created chances late on, but could not find an equaliser before the final whistle. Loboa said the match was decided by fine margins and stressed that she would have been equally happy if another Colombian player had scored. Colombia will now face either DPR Korea or Canada in the semi-final.
