Wenger Believes Arsenal Can Still Overhaul City to Win Premier League

Wenger Believes Arsenal Can Still Overhaul City to Win Premier League

Arsenal’s bid for a first league title took another blow with a 2-1 loss at Manchester City. Rayan Cherki opened the scoring before Kai Havertz levelled, but Erling Haaland’s second-half strike sealed City’s win. City now trail Arsenal by three points but hold a game in hand. A win over Burnley on Wednesday would see them move back to the top. Despite the setback, Arsene Wenger remains adamant that Arsenal can still lift the Premier League trophy. He argues that Manchester City will not complete a perfect run-in.

If Arsenal want to keep pace, they should tighten up defensively and aim for maximum points against midtable opponents.
