Soludo Sends Second Batch of 16 Commissioner Nominees for Assembly Screening
Governor Chukwuma Soludo has forwarded 16 new commissioner nominees to the Anambra State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation. The list was presented during Tuesday’s plenary session. Speaker Somtochukwu Udeze received the nominations and referred them to the Committee on Screening and Election Matters. This follows the earlier confirmation of commissioners for Justice and Finance in March. The nominees will oversee strategic ministries, including Agriculture, Health, Education, Works, and Youth Development. Among those named are Dr. Ben Chuks Odoemena for Agriculture and Dr. Afam Obidike for Health. The House is set to commence screening in the coming days. Confirmed candidates will be sworn in as members of the State Executive Council.
