Asaba Bound: Robo Queens vs Heartland Queens and Sunshine Queens vs Nasarawa Amazons in Fed Cup Semi-Finals
The semi-finals of this year’s President Federation Cup women’s competition promise thrilling action. FC Robo Queens will lock horns with Heartland Queens of Owerri at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City. Heartland arrived in confident form after knocking out Dragon Fury Ladies, Ahudiyannem Queens and Ibom Angels, while Robo Queens upset Rivers Angels following wins over Rangers Women and Remo Stars. In the second semi, Sunshine Queens of Akure face the consistent Nasarawa Amazons at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu. The Amazons reached this stage by dispatching Osklean FC, FC Naija Ratels and Edo Queens, while Sunshine Queens overcame Solo Wonders, Plateau United Queens and Confluence Queens. Winners will meet in the final on Saturday, July 11 in Asaba. Kicks-off for both semis are at 4pm.
