Stationery Stores Chairman Petitions FIFA Over NFF-NFA Structure, Seeks Recognition for Late Father
Stationery Stores chairman Dr. Adetilewa Adebajo has petitioned FIFA to recognise his late father, Israel Adebajo, alongside Sir Adetokunbo Ademola and G.K.J. Amachree, for their alleged roles in Nigeria’s FIFA affiliation in 1960. He also asked FIFA to examine the coexistence of the Nigerian Football Federation and the Nigerian Football Association. He argued that the dual structure has created legal uncertainty, weakened accountability and slowed the commercial development of Nigerian football. Adebajo proposed a new governance framework that gives professional clubs greater influence, protects legacy clubs and improves league funding, broadcasting, sponsorship and player welfare. He requested a meeting with FIFA and a review of the proposed reforms before they are presented to Nigerian authorities and football stakeholders.
