Lightning Strike Kills Pregnant Woman, Nursing Mother and Child in Bauchi Village

Three people, including a pregnant woman, a nursing mother and her child, have died after lightning struck a room in Gambiri village, Bauchi Local Government Area of Bauchi State. The incident occurred at about 5:29 p.m. on Monday. The victims were identified as Hauwa Juli, who gave birth seven days earlier; her daughter, Fatima; and Habiba, Hauwa's sibling, who was pregnant. The newborn baby survived the strike. Residents said the victims were buried on Tuesday as the community mourned. The Bauchi State Police Command confirmed the incident.
