Arsenal Reportedly Close to £75m Deal for Bruno Guimaraes

Arsenal are reportedly close to completing a deal worth about £75 million for Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes. Talks between both clubs are said to have reached the final stage, with the Brazil midfielder awaiting permission to leave Newcastle’s training camp in Spain to complete the transfer formalities. Arsenal are preparing for Guimaraes’ medical, although the final fee has not been confirmed and could rise to around £80 million. The 28-year-old, who joined Newcastle from Lyon in 2022, has reportedly made Arsenal his preferred destination. The Gunners have also strengthened their squad with the arrivals of Christos Tzolis, Piero Hincapié and Illan Meslier.
