Did God Speak to Orimolade? A Question for Today’s Pastors
The Bible records instances of God speaking directly to His messengers. In Nigeria, accounts about Orimolade Tunolase Okejebu Moses and Joseph Ayo Babalola also describe experiences of divine communication, including events associated with the 1930 Oke-Oye revival. One account says that when Orimolade was three, a pastor heard beautiful singing in a brightly lit church at night and found the young boy there. After Orimolade spent seven years bedridden, the account says God told him his confinement was over and it was time to begin his ministry. These stories raise a question for today’s pastors: how can we know when God is truly speaking, and when someone may be mistaking their own feelings for His voice?
