Dean Spanos: The Man Behind the Chargers – Net Worth, Age & Legacy

Dean Spanos is chairman and former CEO of the NFL’s Los Angeles Chargers. Born in Stockton, California in May 1950, he inherited the team from his father, Alex Spanos, after graduating from the University of the Pacific. Under his leadership from 1994 to 2015, the Chargers won 113 games, made four playoff appearances, and claimed five AFC West titles. In 1995, he co-founded the Chargers Community Foundation and later launched Chargers Champions to support schools and non-profits. Spanos remains a key figure in American sports business. He stepped back from daily management in 2015, passing control to his sons, and holds an estimated net worth of $1.3 billion.
