Oluremi Tinubu Named Grand Patron of 2026 All Africa Women’s Golf Championship

First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has been named Grand Patron of the All Africa Challenge Trophy Nigeria 2026, Africa’s leading women’s amateur golf championship. The tournament will take place at the IBB International Golf and Country Club in Abuja from November 2 to 7, 2026. About 30 African countries are expected to participate, making it the third time Nigeria will host the competition. The Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria also presented its Girls in Golf Legacy Project, which aims to mentor 300 young girls through the sport. Tinubu said the initiative could help develop future champions while promoting discipline, commitment and dedication. She added that hosting the championship could boost tourism and economic activity in Abuja and across Nigeria.
