Finding Everlasting Support in God
Every human ally has limits, but God’s help never fails. People leave, resources vanish, and situations change, yet the Lord remains our constant strength and refuge. David treasured God’s unwavering presence above all else. When Joshua took up leadership, God’s promise “As I was with Moses, so I will be with you” became his greatest confidence. These examples remind us to root our trust in divine support rather than shifting human aid. Reflect on this: Where have you placed your confidence? Is your trust more in people and possessions than in God’s unfailing presence? Prayer: Father, thank You for being my unfailing Helper. Teach me to depend on You above every human resource. Guide me and uphold me by Your mighty hand all the days of my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
