From Stony Heart to Heart of Flesh: Embracing True Change
Becoming born again means leaving a stony heart behind and receiving a new spirit (2 Corinthians 5:17; Ezekiel 36:26). Sadly, some who claim to follow Christ still act like unbelievers. They refuse to forgive or even accept bribes. This was not so in the early Church, where believers lived in unity and reflected Christ’s character (Acts 1:14; 11:26). The Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13:1-23) shows that God’s word is always powerful. Yet only hearts prepared by God truly bear fruit. If you allow sin or life’s pressures to harden your heart, God’s word cannot grow in you. Repent, cry out for cleansing, and ask Him to transform your heart. He will make it fertile ground for His word to flourish.
