Kogi University Exam Features Tinubu’s Akara and Kulikuli Debate in Advertising Question
A recent Advertising Copywriting exam at Prince Abubakar Audu University in Kogi State asked Mass Communication students to craft an advocacy ad titled “Beyond Akara and Kulikuli Empowerment.” Students were instructed to identify key factors for writing the copy, list body copy styles, select the best style for the ad, and sketch the layout with images and text. This question accounted for 30 marks in the paper. The exam prompt followed the national discussion sparked by the First Lady’s comments on akara and kulikuli businesses, aiming to encourage Nigerian women and youths to embrace small-scale food enterprises.
