Living Above the Flesh: Master Your Body by the Spirit
Discover how Paul challenges you to rise above your body’s impulses. Romans 8 teaches that living by the flesh leads to death, but by the Spirit you can put bodily deeds to death. The body reports weakness and discomfort through the senses. Yet through the Holy Spirit you have authority to paralyse these transactions. You can subdue the body’s dictates and enforce the Spirit’s higher law of life and peace. When the flesh suggests weakness, respond with strength. When it brings a condition, declare health and dominion in Jesus’ name. Let the life of God in you quicken your mortal body. Prayer: Dear Father, thank you for the authority I have through the Holy Spirit over my body. I refuse to be governed by the senses. I choose to walk in life and strength, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
