Nigerian Student Celebrates Outstanding GCSE Results With Emotional Yoruba Praise
A Nigerian student in the UK became emotional after opening her GCSE results at school. She burst into tears and sang Yoruba praise songs after learning she had earned three Grade 9s, four Grade 8s, two Grade 7s and one Grade 5. Grade 9 is the highest GCSE grade and is broadly equivalent to the former A* standard.
