Army Rescues Two Abducted Children in Adamawa
Troops of B Company, 144 Battalion and the Civilian Joint Task Force responded to a distress call around 4:32 a.m. on May 3, 2026 in Madagali LGA, Adamawa State. Soldiers and local volunteers conducted a search in the Korpallama area and located two siblings: 12-year-old Barnabas Apagu and 10-year-old Ruth Apagu. Both children were freed unharmed. Two other victims, 21-year-old Rahila Apagu and 19-year-old Ijandri Apagu, remain missing. Security forces say efforts are ongoing to trace and rescue them. Patrols and checkpoints have been intensified in the region to prevent further kidnappings and ensure community safety.
