Six NSUK Engineering Students Rescued as Police Arrest Two Kidnapping Suspects
Six students of the Faculty of Engineering at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, have regained their freedom following a targeted police operation. Two suspects from Gudi have been arrested in connection with the abduction. The Police Command’s spokesperson said intelligence-led investigations led operatives to Abdullahi Yeyi Haro, alleged leader of the syndicate, and Basiru Abdullahi. Both suspects were taken into custody after coordinated tactical efforts in Lafia. The rescued students are receiving medical attention and support. The state Commissioner of Police praised the officers for their professionalism and vowed to dismantle the criminal network behind the kidnapping. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and share information with security agencies. Authorities say investigations continue and more arrests are expected.
