Calabar Rovers Name Tosan Blankson Head Coach After Acquiring OYC’s NNL Slot
Calabar Rovers have appointed former Delta Queens and Rivers Angels coach Tosan Blankson as head coach for the 2026/27 Nigeria National League season. The Calabar club returned to the NNL by acquiring the slot of Warri-based OYC FC, which earned promotion from the Nationwide League One South-South play-offs. Rovers had been relegated to the NLO at the end of the 2025/26 campaign. Blankson has resumed in Calabar and begun player screening as preparations continue ahead of the NNL season, which is scheduled to start on 31 October 2026. The four conference winners will secure promotion to the NPFL.
