Freelancers: Can Clients Clearly Tell What You Offer?
Having a valuable skill is important, but clients also need to understand exactly how they can hire you. Saying “I’m a graphic designer” may be too broad for someone looking for a specific solution. A clearer description could be: “I create social media graphics for small businesses.” It tells clients what you do, who you serve and the kind of result they can expect. When describing your service, make three things clear: the service you offer, the people or businesses it is for, and the final deliverable. You may not need a complicated profile; you may simply need to be more specific. Freelancers, how do you describe your services to potential clients? Has being specific helped you attract more clients?
