Ebonyi State University Announces 2026 Digital Media and Cybersecurity Conference

Ebonyi State University’s Department of Mass Communication will host its 2026 Hybrid Interdisciplinary International Conference at the Faculty Auditorium in Abakaliki. The conference will examine Nigeria’s digital space, with discussions on content creation, policy, misinformation, insecurity and cyber threats. Professor Uwaoma Uche, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of Gregory University, Uturu, will deliver the keynote address. Scholars, media professionals, policymakers, students and other stakeholders are expected to discuss information integrity, cybersecurity, responsible digital engagement and the role of communication in national reputation management. Professor Ifeyinwa Nsude will chair the local organising committee, while Professor Chika Asogwa will serve as lead speaker.
