Chidera Ejuke Scores as Sevilla Beat Athletic Club to Go Top of La Liga
Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke came off the bench to score in Sevilla’s 3-1 win over 10-man Athletic Club at San Mamés. Athletic were reduced to 10 players in the 11th minute after Yuri Berchiche was sent off. Sevilla took the lead four minutes later through Oso, before Ejuke doubled the advantage with a neat chip over goalkeeper Unai Simón early in the second half. Isaac Romero added Sevilla’s third goal before Aitor Paredes pulled one back for Athletic. The result gave Sevilla six points from their opening two league matches and sent them to the top of the table.
