SFU Probes Edo ALGON Chairman Over Alleged Council Fund Transfers

The Special Fraud Unit has summoned Hon. Sunday Akiotu, Acting Chairman of Etsako East LGA and ALGON leader in Edo State, over suspected transfers from council accounts into personal and associate-linked bank accounts. Investigators extended invitations in March after a petition by a civic group. They are now examining transaction records to verify the allegations. Requests for official comments from the SFU leadership were in progress at the time of reporting. More updates are expected as the probe continues.
