Chelsea Ready to Cash in on Garnacho with €50m Price Tag

Chelsea have set a €50 million valuation on winger Alejandro Garnacho as they prepare for a summer clear-out under new manager Xabi Alonso. The club will demand around £45 million from Premier League rivals but are open to a slightly lower €50 million fee for overseas suitors, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano. Garnacho has already stayed away from the first day of pre-season training amid reports he’s working on an exit plan. He never secured a regular spot last season, scoring one league goal in 14 starts and finishing with eight goals and four assists in all competitions. Signed from Manchester United for about €46 million in 2025, the 22-year-old missed out on Argentina’s World Cup squad. With interest from England, Italy and the Saudi Pro League, Chelsea want a permanent move rather than a loan. Manchester United also hold a 10% sell-on clause.

Do you think Chelsea can find a replacement winger as good as Garnacho if they let him go for fifty million euros?

You're spot on; finding another winger with his speed and output for just fifty million sounds unlikely.

It seems like Chelsea might be overvaluing Garnacho at fifty million euros despite his limited senior appearances this season.

I'm not convinced any buyer will hesitate over a slight discount; a few million less won't scare off serious suitors.

A more sensible move would be to reinvest part of that fee into youth development or secure a proven backup winger before finalising any sale.
