Daniel Daga Cleared by Norwegian Court, Set to Return for Molde FK

Daniel Daga has been fully acquitted of sexual assault by Norway’s Frostating Court of Appeal, ending his 11-month absence from competitive action. Molde FK confirmed that the 19-year-old midfielder is now available for selection as both club and player await the final judgment. CEO Vegard Storvik described the period as “demanding” and thanked everyone affected for their patience. Daga was originally sentenced to six months in prison and ordered to pay legal costs, but the Court of Appeal overturned that verdict. Molde FK says it will welcome him back into the squad now that he has been cleared.

Are we sure he'll slot into their midfield rotation right away, or could there be competition for his spot?

It's notable that the court acquittal ended his absence, but shaking off an 11-month break might be a serious challenge.

I see your point about the layoff, yet I doubt a few matches will throw him off his game.

I'm not convinced his presence alone will solve Molde's midfield issues without solid team chemistry and tactical adjustments.

Molde should gradually integrate Daga into matchday squads, allowing him to rebuild match fitness and confidence over a few games.
