Super Falcons’ Chiamaka Nnadozie Targets FA Cup Glory as Brighton Take On Man City

Super Falcons’ Chiamaka Nnadozie Targets FA Cup Glory as Brighton Take On Man City

Chiamaka Nnadozie will aim to cap off her debut season at Brighton & Hove Albion by helping the Seagulls win their first major trophy in the Women’s FA Cup final at Wembley. Brighton reached the final with a thrilling 3-2 comeback against Liverpool, while Manchester City overcame Chelsea 3-2 after extra time, inspired by a Khadija Shaw brace. Since joining Brighton on a free transfer last summer, Nnadozie has kept six clean sheets in 19 WSL appearances and earned a spot in WhoScored’s Team of the Season. Her fingertip save against Liverpool in November won Save of the Month and was nominated for Save of the Season. Before moving to England, the 25-year-old goalkeeper won the Coupe de France Féminine with Paris FC and four domestic titles with Rivers Angels in Nigeria.

Brighton's comeback against Liverpool was thrilling, but facing a dominant Man City side at Wembley will test their true potential.

I'm not convinced that one goalkeeper's form alone can carry Brighton all the way past City's depth and experience though.

Focusing on solid defensive organization and quick transitions might be Brighton's best strategy to keep pace with Manchester City's attack.
