Police in Kano have rescued a two-year-old boy, Aliyu Muhammad, who was abducted outside his home in Gwammaja Quarters, Dala LGA on April 19. His parents paid a N1 million ransom but the kidnappers failed to release him. The Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Squad, acting on intelligence and technical leads, arrested three suspects – Hassan Umar (26), Abdullahi Hamisu (19) and Hussaini Saminu (24) – and recovered N930,000 of the ransom. The child was found unharmed and has been safely reunited with his family. The Commissioner of Police praised the operatives for their precision and resilience. He warned that Kano will remain unsafe for criminals, urged parents to watch their children closely, and encouraged the public to support the Police with credible information through emergency lines.
