UNN Gets NUC Approval to Launch 12 New Degree Programmes in 2026/2027

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka has received approval from the National Universities Commission to begin 12 new full-time undergraduate programmes in the 2026/2027 academic session. The programmes include Automotive Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Pharmacology, Optometry, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering and Information Technology. UNN says the additions will expand access to specialised training in engineering, health, education and technology. The university also says it will provide the staff and facilities required to run the programmes in line with NUC standards.
