Do ‘Apostolic Invasions’ Serve God or Just Entertain Us?
I once drove past a university campus and saw posters advertising ‘Apostolic Invasions’, ‘Prophetic Invasions’ and ‘Father Visit’. I asked a student and she laughed. She said they are just events with occasional negative headlines. It amazes me how we speak less of God and more of ourselves. We chase self-gratification, human validation and worship without seeing anything wrong in it. Most meetings focus on exorcisms and stunts to prove the ‘Man of God’ is powerful. There is hype and vibrations, but no real presence of God. Then they ask for offerings or ‘seeds’ to merchandise the gospel. I challenge these apostles to take their power to Borno, Plateau, Benue, Kwara or Kogi and confront real bandits. At least then we would see an impact. Let us focus on Christ, not materialism and human worship. May the Lord grant us understanding.
