Anambra Police Arrests Syndicate Armourer, Recovers More Arms in Ogidi
Anambra State Police has achieved a new breakthrough in Ogidi following a March operation that led to three arrests. On 31 March, officers apprehended 46-year-old Chukwuka Anene ‘M’, identified as the syndicate’s armourer. He guided them to the gang’s hideout, where police seized two pump-action guns, two homemade Beretta pistols, five rounds of 9mm ammunition, seven live cartridges, a cult-linked beret and body armour. The command says it is intensifying efforts to arrest other fleeing members. Investigations remain ongoing. The police urge residents to support them with credible information.
