Osimhen Returns as Chelle Names Super Eagles Squad for AFCON 2027 Qualifiers
Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has named his squad for Nigeria’s AFCON 2027 qualifying matches against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau. Victor Osimhen is included despite a reported adductor strain. Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Ademola Lookman, Moses Simon, Stanley Nwabali and Ola Aina also make the list. Kelechi Iheanacho is not included. New faces named in the squad include goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, defender Isaac James, forward George Ilenikhena and winger Moses Usor. Nigeria are scheduled to host Madagascar in Uyo on 25 September before travelling to face Guinea-Bissau on 29 September.
