APGA Clash: Sly Ezeokenwa Accused of Taking ₦65m to Foist Anambra Assembly Candidate

A serious rift has broken out in APGA’s Anambra state chapter over claims that National Chairman Sly Ezeokenwa pocketed ₦65 million to impose a state Assembly candidate for the 2027 polls. More than 1,000 disgruntled members from Oyi LGA marched on the state Government House with placards, demanding that Governor Soludo restore the rightful winner, Hon. Oraegbunam Uchenna. They say primary results were manipulated and membership figures inflated to favor the foisted candidate. A party electoral officer revealed that 230 members were accredited in Nteje Ward 4, but the figure magically rose to 520 to hand the ticket to “Kosi.” Another stakeholder claims they have bank records proving the chairman received the bribe and stands ready to share them with state authorities. Governor Soludo’s deputy chief of staff expressed regret over the turmoil and assured petitioners the matter will be resolved amicably, urging them to forward their evidence to the party leadership.

I agree, we need clear proof from Oyi LGA leaders before accepting that ₦65 million claim.

It's striking how swiftly over a thousand protesters organized, yet no official audit or receipt has been shared publicly.

This narrative might be oversimplifying complex local alliances instead of focusing on hard proof of the ₦65 million claim.

APGA leadership should commission an independent audit of all candidate selection funds and publish the results before the next primary.
