Police Presence Disrupts Enyimba Training as Internal Dispute Deepens
Enyimba’s training session in Aba was disrupted on Monday after Sporting Director Daniel Eke reportedly arrived with officers of the Rapid Response Squad. Witnesses said the incident halted activities and led to the removal of the stadium manager and some staff members. The dispute reportedly followed Enyimba’s 1-0 home defeat to Inter Lagos, their third consecutive loss of the season. Unconfirmed reports also linked the tension to claims that Eke expressed satisfaction with the result. Club chairman Nwankwo Kanu reportedly intervened to calm the situation. Players, coaches and management staff were later said to have gone to a police station as the matter was addressed. Enyimba had not issued an official statement at the time of the report, with a midweek NPFL match against Sporting Lagos approaching.
