Woman Alleges Husband’s Kinsmen and Village Daughters Tried to Evict Her From Matrimonial Home
A woman has alleged that members of her husband’s kindred, including the umunna and umuada, have repeatedly attempted to force her out of her matrimonial home. She said a similar incident happened in 2021 while she was pregnant with her second child. According to her, the latest confrontation occurred on October 18, when women from her husband’s village allegedly came to her home to evict her. She accused her husband of allowing her to be publicly humiliated and questioned why he would not seek a divorce instead. She said she would later share evidence to support her claims.
