Adeboye Reaffirms RCCG’s Political Neutrality, Explains Past Protest
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, has denied claims that RCCG is aligned with any political party. He stressed that the church remains open to all Nigerians regardless of their affiliations. Adeboye pointed out that governors from PDP, APC, Labour Party and APGA worship together in RCCG. He clarified that the altar is not a platform for political speeches and that the church’s role is to pray for everyone. On Nigeria’s future, he said God has already chosen the next president and urged believers to focus on prayer and personal responsibility. He also explained that his past protest was in obedience to a directive from the Christian Association of Nigeria. Finally, he emphasized that he leads only RCCG members and does not claim spiritual authority over all Nigerian Christians. He warned members against engaging in political disputes or criticism within the church.
