Governor Uzodimma Unveils Imo’s Investment Blueprint at UK’s House of Lords
Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma told members of the British House of Lords that his administration has developed leadership and business templates for rapid growth. He highlighted the creation of over 20,000 jobs through community co-owned businesses and 60,000 digital-economy roles via skills empowerment. Under his six-and-a-half-year tenure, Imo has completed 140 roads and laid infrastructure for reliable power, setting aside 140,000 hectares for the Orashi Special Energy Free Zone. He stressed that closing the gap between vision and delivery is key to Africa’s development. Through initiatives like Imo Digital City and One Kindred, One Business, the state has fostered innovation, security, land reforms, and youth empowerment. Uzodimma invited investors to leverage these gains and praised an African leadership organization for honoring Imo’s progress.
