Ikeja Magistrate Grants Bail to Man Accused of Receiving ₦2.8m Stolen Funds
Toheeb Ameen, 24, appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday charged with receiving ₦2.815 million he allegedly knew to be stolen. Prosecution told the court Ameen received the cash in March from Faruk Abiola, who is also facing trial, in Oshodi, Lagos. The offence breaches Section 328 of Lagos State’s Criminal Law 2015. Ameen pleaded not guilty and was granted bail of ₦500,000 with two responsible sureties. The case has been adjourned to May 27 for further hearing.
