Shehu Sani Labels Obi’s Support ‘Tribal Drama’, Predicts Tinubu’s 2027 Victory

Former senator Shehu Sani has dismissed the backing of Peter Obi as a ‘drama’ fueled by tribal sentiments. He argued that many Obi supporters come from the same ethnic background and that electing Obi would not change Nigeria’s direction. On a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Sani maintained that the main political figures—Obi, Obasanjo, Atiku, and Tinubu—share the same ideological perspective. He warned Nigerians against recycled narratives and alleged there is little real difference between the ruling party and the opposition. Sani concluded that President Bola Tinubu will win the 2027 election, quipping that the presidential choice in Nigeria is “between Satan and the devil.”
